Sunni Shabaz is a multidisciplinary artist working across music, film, and writing.
Their current projects include Fallen, a studio album in development, and Stiff Water Soft Bones, a feature film in pre-production. Both works are grounded in intimacy and restraint, favoring atmosphere and emotional precision over exposition.
Earlier works include You’re Not Invited To My Funeral, presented at the ALL STREET Gallery on the Lower East Side, which examined disappearance and rejection within the art world, and the short film No More Lies, a study of truth as rupture rather than resolution.
Screen and performance work spans film and television under the name Seth Michael White.
As Set Heru, Shabaz released Roses, a minimalist work rooted in tone, devotion, and unresolved feeling.
Across all forms, Shabaz’s work favors atmosphere over exposition. It is allowed to be quiet, unfinished, and enduring.
